Gabi found her love for directing when she fell in love with a piece where she was too young to play the mother and too old to play the daughter. (she turned the film Guinevere into a stage version.) Her passion and vision for the piece made her realize she had to direct it. Anyone who’s directed knows what a huge undertaking it is and for that reason, she’s very picky about the projects she chooses to get involved with.

She’s directed versions of her own writing, namely POT ODDS, CITY OF LIGHT and iWISH, among others, but has also enjoyed very much working with other directors on her own writing, namely: Cady Huffman, Alison Bibicoff, Autumn Reeser, Joy Kelly Smith, Lauren Moran Mills, Paeton Chavis.Aaron Kellner. And she’s learned from each and everyone of them as well as her husband, Alex Craig Mann, who is a fabulous director himself.

Most recently, she directed Annie Baker’s THE FLICK at The Chatham Playhouse.and you can see the trailer below.

Gabi has an MFA in Playwriting & Screenwriting from Point Park University and a BA in Theatre & Music from Smith College, and attended the Motley Design School and B.A.D.A. in London. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA and the Dramatists Guild.
